John Cumbo currently leads Information Technology at ECMC. Prior to this role, he served as the IT Director overseeing the ECMC Infrastructure and Systems department. Before transitioning into leadership, John held various technical roles in IT and spent several years as a PACS Administrator. This experience was pivotal in teaching him the importance of bridging the technical gap between IT teams and clinical staff.

With a strong passion for technology, John specializes in areas such as network design and implementation, virtualization, and convergence. He enjoys collaborating with non-technical professionals to identify the best ways to apply technology in order to achieve organizational goals. As the technology lead at ECMC, John’s primary focus is to inspire his department to seek out and implement creative, efficient, and cost-effective solutions to complex technology challenges.
