Join us for the inaugural 229 Charity Bike Ride!

June 4-6, 2026

This exclusive event unites the 229 Community for an unforgettable journey supporting Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.

Ride in person with full support (SAG vehicle, custom jerseys, hotels, meals included) on the stunning Great Allegheny Passage from Pittsburgh to West Newton and back—80 miles of purpose-driven cycling for childhood cancer research. In person is limited to 15 riders.

Or participate remotely by completing 22.9 miles on your bike or 2.29 miles walking/running from anywhere.

100% of event proceeds fund ALSF research.

Whether you're tackling the historic GAP Trail alongside healthcare leaders or riding your Peloton at home, every mile matters.

Register by May 1st to guarantee your custom jersey or event shirt.

From Alex Scott's first lemonade stand at age 4 to this moment, we're bridging the gap from one child's vision to a community mission.

Why 229?

With the first confirmed COVID-19 case on February 29th in the United States came grief, confusion, and an overwhelming burden on our healthcare system.

229 Groups were founded on the belief that bringing health IT leaders into small, intentional conversations could propel the continuation of the type of innovation and collaboration we saw happen post February 29th.

What makes a 229 Meeting distinct:

  • Small Groups / Dynamic Discussions
  • Limited Topics allow you to drill down with your peers on relevant challenges
  • Facilitated Peer-to-Peer interaction
  • Fantastic settings for a great retreat, bring your plus one
  • Emphasis on relationship building
