Leaders Series (CIO): AMC Priorities for 2023

Priorities. Exploring the macro challenges facing healthcare and how technology and innovation will play a role in addressing these challenges.

Healthcare academic medical centers (AMCs) are uniquely positioned to take advantage of emerging technologies and address many challenges they face. From streamlining operations to improving patient outcomes, there are countless ways technology can help healthcare AMCs reach their goals.

Healthcare CIOs have a variety of priorities to consider for 2023. With the ever-changing healthcare landscape, CIOs must ensure their institutions focus on the most up-to-date technologies, regulations, and standards that improve patient care and safety. One of the highest priority areas is patient data security. Data breaches can devastate patient trust, and compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA helps ensure that information is kept safe. CIOs must also focus on implementing systems for data analytics, which allow organizations to leverage insights from patient data to improve efficiency and quality of care.

Another priority is creating an effective digital infrastructure. This includes investing in cloud-based systems, electronic health record (EHR) systems, telehealth platforms, and other digital tools that allow for more efficient communication and data sharing between healthcare providers.

Finally, CIOs must optimize the user experience for patients and staff. By making sure technology is easy to use and access, CIOs can help maximize the efficiency of the healthcare organization and increase patient satisfaction.

These are just some examples of what CIOs are thinking heading into 2023.

In this webinar, we explore the 2023 priorities with the leaders tasked with staying in front of healthcare trends.  We hope you will join us.
