The gathering

What to expect

Staff Roundtables bring practitioners and their teams together for focused, working-level discussion. These regional sessions go beyond the executive suite — connecting the people doing the day-to-day work so they can share what is actually working, what is not, and why.

The real answers come from the people doing the work.

The 229 Project

Our story

Why 229?

With the first confirmed COVID-19 case on February 29th in the United States came grief, confusion, and an overwhelming burden on our healthcare system.

229 was founded on the belief that bringing health IT leaders into small, intentional conversations could carry forward the kind of innovation and collaboration that emerged in the months after February 29th — the date the name remembers.

The difference

What makes a 229 gathering distinct

Small groups focused on the practical, working level.
Facilitated peer-to-peer problem solving among counterparts.
A limited set of topics so the discussion goes deep.
An emphasis on what actually works in practice.

The payoff

What you’ll take away

A trusted peer advisory group you can call on long after the event ends.
Honest, facilitated dialogue you won’t find on a webinar or a trade-show floor.
Ideas and solutions peer health systems have actually put into practice.
A professional network built intentionally, not left to chance.
Time to step back, reflect, and invest in yourself.
Relationships with people who share your drive to improve healthcare.

In their words

What others are saying

The 229 Project CIOs was one of the most valuable connections I have made with my peers and leading technology partners. The collaboration during the onsite event was valuable, but the ongoing dialogue that continues is what is priceless.

I would highly recommend 229 as the investment in time and the return on networking and the sharing of ideas are invaluable!

A relaxed atmosphere where a small group of colleagues can come together to share and learn from each other. I am in contact with many of the attendees on a variety of topics we discussed. My organization will benefit from this event.
